Vievio is a player-only platform for user-added M3U and M3U8 playlists. Vievio does not provide, sell, host, store, or include TV channels, movies, live TV, or media content.
This Privacy Policy explains how Vievio collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website, user portal, APIs, Smart TV apps, mobile apps, or related services. By using Vievio, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope of This Privacy Policy
Vievio is a software player platform that allows users to add, manage, and play their own supported playlist sources.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect and process the following types of information:
Account Information
When you create an account, we may collect your email address, password hash, account creation date, login timestamps, account status, and security-related logs.
Playlist and Configuration Data
When you add playlist sources or configure your account, we may store playlist URLs, playlist names, playlist settings, EPG or guide links, categories, favorites, recently watched items, and related configuration data. We do not store raw IPTV credentials like Xtream API usernames/passwords on our systems unless required as part of your playlist metadata.
Device Activation Data
When you pair a TV, mobile, or web device, we may collect device type, app version, operating system, device model, activation code status, IP address, approximate region, and a device identifier generated by the app or platform.
Usage and Diagnostic Data
We may collect technical information such as login activity, API request logs, crash reports, error logs, playback error codes, device connection status, and performance diagnostics.
Payment Information
If paid plans are available, payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider. Vievio does not store raw credit card numbers.
Support Information
If you contact support, we may collect your name, email address, message content, screenshots, technical details, and any information you choose to provide.

We use collected information to:
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Authenticate users and protect account access.
- Add, store, and synchronize playlist settings.
- Activate and manage paired devices.
- Provide favorites, recently watched items, and account sync features.

- Detect abuse, unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and security risks.
- Comply with legal, billing, tax, security, and regulatory obligations where applicable.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where privacy laws such as GDPR apply, we may process personal information based on one or more lawful bases, including:
- Contractual necessity, where processing is required to provide the Service.
- Legitimate interests, such as security, fraud prevention, service improvement, and system diagnostics.
- Consent, where you choose to receive updates, marketing, or optional communications.
- Legal obligations, where processing is required for compliance, accounting, billing, or regulatory reasons.
5. Playlist Sources and User Responsibility
Vievio does not own, review, verify, or control user-added playlist sources. Playlist content, playback availability, guide data, and source legality depend on the source added by the user. Users are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right, license, permission, or authorization to use any playlist source added to Vievio.
Vievio does not sell playlist data to advertising companies.
6. Local Storage on Devices
Vievio apps may use local storage on supported devices, including Smart TVs, mobile devices, and web browsers. Local storage may contain app settings, session tokens, cached configuration data, playlist metadata, or device pairing information. This helps improve performance, reduce repeated login steps, and support a smoother player experience.
You can remove local app data by signing out, clearing browser storage, deleting app data, or uninstalling the app, depending on your device.
7. Data Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with trusted service providers that help us operate Vievio, such as hosting and infrastructure providers, third-party payment processors, notification providers, and diagnostic tools.
These providers are only allowed to process information as needed to provide services to Vievio and must protect the information according to applicable agreements and laws.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain security, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
- Account information is generally kept while your account remains active.
- Security logs and API logs may be kept for a limited period for abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and auditing.
- Playlist configuration data may be deleted when you remove it from your account or request account deletion, subject to backup, security, legal, or billing retention requirements.
- Device activation data may be removed or reset when a device is deactivated, subject to normal system retention and backup cycles.
9. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect user information. These measures may include HTTPS, access controls, password hashing, encryption where appropriate, restricted administrative access, monitoring, logging, and security review processes.
